Mount Hood

Origin: Mount Hood is an aroma variety bred from German Hallertauer / Mittelfruh / variety and released in 1989 in Oregon. It was named after the famous Oregon volcano mountain.

Agronomics: 1700-2100 kg/ha

Alpha acids: 4.0-7.0 %

Beta acids: 4.0-7.0 %

Co-humulone: 22-24 % of alpha acids

Total oil: 1.1-1.6 ml / 100 grams

Aroma: floral, herbal, honey

Myrcene: 30-40 % of whole oil

Caryophyllene: 13-16 % of whole oil

Humulene: 30-38 % of whole oil

Farnesene: <1 % of whole oil

Brewing characteristic: good aroma variety with well balanced bitterness

Recommended use and hopping: as leaf hops or pellets, third hopping, dry hopping
