Beer styles: mainly American style ales and lagers 

Origin: Apollo is a super high alpha variety released in 2006. It is resistant to powdery and downy mildew.

Agronomics: +/- 3000 kg/ha, good pickability, compact cone

Alpha acids: 13.0-18.0 %

Beta acids: 5.5- 8.0 %

Co-humulone: 24-28 % of alpha acids

Total oil: 1.5-2.5 ml / 100 grams

Aroma: strong grapefruit hoppy note

Myrcene: 30-50 % of whole oil

Caryophyllene: 14-20 % of whole oil

Humulene: 20-30 % of whole oil

Farnesene: <1 % of whole oil

Brewing characteristic: good bittering hops with grapefruit note if added late in the kettle

Recommended use and hopping: hop extract or pellets, first hopping for bitterness, late hopping for aroma
