Origin: Nelson Sauvin is the NZ dual purpose triploid variety released in 2000 with specific essential oil profile displays "fresh crushed gooseberries" a descriptor often used for the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc, giving name to Nelson Sauvin.

Brewing characteristic: unique aroma profile with very specific gooseberry fruity note

Agronomics: 1700 -2000 kg/ha, compact cones

Alpha acids: 11.0-13.0 %

Beta acids: 6.0-8.0 %

Co-humulone: 22-24 % of alpha acids

Total oil: 1.0-1.2 ml / 100 grams

Aroma: specific gooseberry, fruity

Myrcene: 20-22% of whole oil

Caryophyllene: 10-12% of whole oil

Humulene: 34-36% of whole oil

Farnesene: <1 % of whole oil

Recommended use and hopping: as hop pellets type 90, third and dry hopping
