Origin: Dr. Rudi is a triploid NZ variety selected already in 1976 as Super Alpha and change name to Dr. Rudi officially in 2012

Brewing characteristic: widely selected for its dual purpose ability to deliver smooth bitterness as well as unique aroma

Alpha acids: 10.0-12.0 %

Beta acids: 7.0-8.5 %

Co-humulone: 31-33 % of alpha acids

Total oil: 1.3-1.4 ml / 100 grams

Aroma profile: fresh citrus, pine, lemongrass

Myrcene: 30-35 % of whole oil

Caryophyllene: 9-11 % of whole oil

Humulene: 31-33 % of whole oil

Farnesene: 0.5-1.0 % of whole oil

Recommended use and hopping: leaf hops or pellets type 90, first kettle addition up to dry hopping
